Step into an established outpatient psychiatry practice offering a four-day workweek, exceptional clinical support, visa sponsorship, and the resources of a nationally recognized nonprofit behavioral health organization.

Assume an Established Outpatient Practice

  • Take over the established practice of a respected psychiatrist retiring after twenty years of service.
  • Join two additional psychiatrists and a stable, experienced local behavioral health team.
  • Provide outpatient psychiatric care to adults or an optional mix of adult and pediatric patients.
  • See patients in a private physician office or utilize dedicated examination rooms based on your preferences and the needs of each patient.
  • Use onsite telehealth rooms designed to support convenient virtual care.
  • Focus entirely on clinical psychiatry or pursue leadership, teaching, research, and organizational opportunities as your interests develop.

An Exceptional Four-Day Schedule

  • Work Monday through Thursday with no regularly scheduled Friday clinic.
  • Choose a four-day onsite clinical schedule.
  • Alternatively, work three days onsite and provide telepsychiatry coverage remotely one day each week.
  • Enjoy a predictable schedule designed to support long-term professional satisfaction and personal flexibility.
  • Build a practice structure that aligns with your clinical interests and career goals.

Integrated Resources That Support Patient Care

  • Practice alongside an integrated nursing team providing clinical coordination and ongoing patient support.
  • Utilize an in-house laboratory for convenient testing and monitoring.
  • Benefit from an onsite pharmacy that improves access and coordination for patients.
  • Access dedicated injection rooms supporting the administration of long-acting injectable medications.
  • Collaborate with independently operated primary care services located in the same building.
  • Work in a modern outpatient environment that also includes telehealth rooms, flexible clinical space, and an onsite café.
  • Treat patients within a comprehensive model that brings behavioral health, physical health, nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, and recovery services together in one location.

Comprehensive Behavioral Health and Recovery Services

  • Practice within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic offering outpatient mental health, addiction, recovery, crisis, and integrated-care services.
  • Collaborate with an established, CARF-accredited opioid-treatment program providing medication-assisted treatment and recovery support.
  • Care for patients who may be receiving methadone or other medications for opioid-use disorder; the psychiatrist is not required to prescribe or dispense methadone.
  • Benefit from established dosing operations and a dedicated recovery-services team, allowing the psychiatrist to remain focused on psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
  • Work in an organization committed to harm reduction, overdose prevention, and community education, including access to opioid-emergency kits containing naloxone.
  • Help improve care for patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance-use disorders through a coordinated, multidisciplinary model.

Clinical Practice with Leadership Potential

  • Pursue an optional medical directorship without making administrative leadership a requirement.
  • Manage and collaborate with four to five advanced practice providers, with additional compensation available for physician oversight.
  • Participate in organizational initiatives, help shape clinical policy, and contribute to the development of behavioral healthcare services.
  • Explore opportunities to conduct research, build programs, and influence care delivery across a large national behavioral health system.
  • Teach medical students on an optional basis while remaining primarily focused on clinical practice.
  • Choose a purely clinical career path or pursue meaningful professional growth within a sophisticated nonprofit organization.

National Resources with a Strong Local Team

  • Become part of one of the nation’s largest nonprofit behavioral health systems, offering an extensive continuum of outpatient, inpatient, crisis, addiction, residential, and integrated-care services.
  • Join two experienced psychiatrists at the local practice and collaborate with psychiatric specialists throughout the broader organization.
  • Access additional expertise that includes three forensic psychiatrists and physicians representing a variety of behavioral health interests.
  • Benefit from a collegial local team known for its stability, experience, and commitment to patient care.
  • Participate in monthly didactic programming and continuing medical education.
  • Access the clinical, administrative, and professional resources of a national organization while maintaining the relationships and autonomy of a community-based practice.
  • Enjoy significant potential for clinical, administrative, academic, and organizational advancement.

Competitive Recruitment Package

  • Highly competitive salary.
  • Additional compensation opportunities for advanced practice provider oversight: $15,000 per APP (3 APPs)
  • J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and retirement benefits.
  • Generous paid time off and professional-development support.
  • Professional liability coverage.
  • CME allowance and paid CME time.
  • Relocation and other recruitment assistance may be available.

St. Louis—Without the Big-City Trade-Offs

  • Live and practice in the greater St. Louis area along the Illinois–Missouri border.
  • Enjoy convenient access to the dining, professional sports, arts, entertainment, universities, and international airport of a major metropolitan area.
  • Choose from established riverfront communities, family-friendly suburbs, or more spacious residential settings.
  • Benefit from affordable housing, manageable commutes, strong community connections, and an attractive overall cost of living.
  • Explore nearby parks, trails, golf courses, historic communities, and abundant recreational opportunities throughout the region.

What Has KCA Done to Validate This Opportunity?
