An established dental practice serving the Washington, DC metro market in Northern Virginia is seeking a part-time General Dentist to join its collaborative clinical team. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced clinician looking for a focused two-day schedule, steady patient demand, and the support of an established provider and hygiene team.

The practice offers steady patient flow across a broad range of general dental needs, along with clinical and operational support designed to help the incoming dentist continue developing professionally. The team includes multiple providers, hygienists, assistants, and administrative professionals working together to support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Position Details

  • Employment Status: Part-Time
  • Schedule: Wednesday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Experience: 3+ years preferred
  • Provider Team: 3 providers
  • Hygiene Team: 4 hygienists
  • Compensation: Standard tiered dentist compensation beginning at 30% of collections

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school and an active Virginia dental license in good standing, or be eligible to obtain one. Current BLS/CPR certification, strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to high-quality patient care are important for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of dental conditions involving the teeth, gums, and surrounding oral structures.
  • Perform comprehensive examinations and develop evidence-based treatment plans using radiographs, clinical findings, and appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Provide preventive, restorative, and other general dental services consistent with training, experience, and patient needs.
  • Communicate treatment options clearly and build trusted, long-term patient relationships.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and laboratory partners to support accurate, timely, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain applicable professional, OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.
